The Best Man premiered in Beccles, Suffolk in April 2016, and was performed by the
Waveney Light Opera Group.

 

The show was seen by Current NODA President Chris Ingram who was highly complimentary saying "Visiting Suffolk to see The Best Man was one of my longest trips during my Presidential year but well worth the effort – my wife and I were blown away by the quality of The Best Man, both the writing and the performance. A worthy successor to The Reunion. The show has a good story line with lots of humour and had the audience laughing and crying throughout. It is well worthy of being performed by any society and I would love to see it entertaining audiences throughout the UK".

invited to the Premiere and was so impressed with what he saw and heard that he offered
The Best Man a place in the Stagescripts catalogue.

 

The Best Man contains 18 original
compositions in a broad range of styles, from sweeping ballads, to up-tempo dance tunes.

There are 9 full company numbers,
and another 9 which feature differing
members of the ensemble.

All of the company numbers offer excellent opportunities for choreography and feature dancers if required.
